The artist 朵蕊蕊 - Duo Ruirui - is born in the city of Eternal Spring, Kunming，in Yunnan Province, China.
Trained as a lyrical artist (mezzo-soprano), she's passionate about traditional Chinese painting and calligraphy since her youngest age. She then takes distance learning courses with Chinese masters to learn the techniques. She gradually develops her own unique style, between tradition and modernity, with a preference for simple flower motifs, especially peonies.
Painting is for her a great source of happiness and harmony. She wishes to share this happiness and to spread the word about the beauty of traditional Chinese art.
Ruirui lives in the Paris area with her husband and son and regularly returns to her home city to recharge her inspiration.
